Track Team

2009 marked the inaugural Track & Field season for Faith Community Christian High School. The team saw marked improvement from beginning to end culminating in 4 students earning MCSAA State Meet medals. Senior Zach Dummerth finished 3rd in the 100m, while senior Aaron Tate finished 3rd in the Shot Put. Additionally, the 4x400m relay team of Zach Dummerth, Aaron Tate, Jesse Jauernig, and Nate Dummerth finished in 2nd place in an impressive season ending performance. Sophomore Nate Dummerth also placed 8th in the 200m, while fellow sophomore Jesse Jauernig and freshman Nick Guarino finished 6th and 8th respectively in the Long Jump. Guarino also placed 5th in the Triple Jump. At the Christian Academy Invitational Meet, the Spartans cleaned house when senior Zach Dummerth came home with 1st place in the 100m, the 400m, 4x400, and 2nd place in the 110 HH. Fellow senior Jerod Hohmeier took home the gold in the 800m and 1600m and 4x400. Also in that meet, Nick Guarino received a bronze medal in the Triple Jump, Aaron Tate finished 2nd in the Shot Put and ran the 4x400m, Chase Martinson placed 3rd in the 300 IMH, and Nate Dummerth gained a medal for the 4x400m relay. Congratulations to all the track & field participants: seniors Zach Dummerth, Aaron Tate, Jared Hohmeier, junior Sam Haberberger, sophomores Nate Dummerth, Jesse Jauernig, Chase Martinson, and freshman Guarino.
Coach Kenny Hinrichsen has compiled a strong staff to help kick-start this new sport and with his background in cross country expects sure-fire results.
