Fall Sports
Varsity Soccer
A three-time MCSAA State Champion in 2007, 2008, and 2009, FCCHS has enjoyed relative success with this program. Because of our size at the current time, we offer only a Varsity Soccer team, open to anyone in 9-12th grades. Additionally, we plan a summer camp in early August, and practice generally starts one week before school. We do not schedule any games or practices on Wednesdays during the entire season. We play a full conference schedule in addition to several non-conference matches - we hold MSHAA Affiliate status. The team competes in at least one invitational tournament per season (usually local), the annual TRCAA Conference Tournament, and the MCSAA State Tournament in Joplin, MO. Costs include a per-sport athletic fee, a one-time uniform deposit, and travel costs associated with out-of-town tournament travel.
Junior Varsity and Varsity Ladies Volleyball
FCCHS introduced ladies volleyball in 2009, and has seen steady growth in this program ever since. We offer both a JV and Varsity squad. Junior Varsity is open to anyone in 9-11th grades. Varsity is open to 9-12th grades. The week before school starts in August, we hold a mini-camp and regular practices start thereafter. We do not schedule any games or practices on Wednesdays during the entire season. We play a full conference schedule in addition to several non-conference matches - some of which are Varsity only and/or tri-team matches.
Cheer Squad
FCCHS Cheer Squad is a co-ed, competitive program. We cheer at basketball games, and various other sporting events. In addition to school support, we also compete at multiple competitions throughout the season. We incorporate gymnastics, cheers, dancing, and stunts to engage the crowd and show support both for the school and for our program. The Cheer season starts with tryouts in late May. We hold optional practices through our summer season. During the summer we have a required camp where we prepare and practice competition choreography and advanced stunts. The Cheer Squad at FCCHS is a prominent face at all events, consistently showing their support at athletic events, school events, and other activities with charm, enthusiasm, and spirit.
